ASM uses a parent notification system, SchoolMessenger®, to alert the community of a school cancellation due to inclement weather, or other potential emergency situations. We are judicious in our use of this system and reserve it for just the most important messages.
All non-emergency communications will be sent to you via text message only. This includes school cancellations and delays due to weather. ASM will also be listed on local television channels WCBS 4, WCVB 5, WHDH 7, FOX25, NECN/NBC 10 and WMUR 9.
As required by law, you must opt-in in order to receive text messages from SchoolMessenger. All new families should expect a text from SchoolMessenger today with a request to opt-in.
In the event of a crisis situation or emergency at school or in the surrounding community, we will contact you via phone, email and text message using the contact information provided to us on your child’s School Information Sheet.
In order to assure that the system is functioning properly and that we have correct contact information, we will be testing this system on Thursday, September 21. You can expect to receive a phone call, email and text from me indicating that we are testing the parent notification system.
I appreciate your help in allowing us to communicate with you most effectively.
