Coming Together at ASM
Posted by Michelle on September 5, 2019
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! ASM has resumed its natural rhythm with the return of the students. It is wonderful to see old friends once again and to welcome our new students and families this fall.
ASM has several characteristics that make it unique. Foremost is the sense of community, inspired by all of you. While ASM holds many community gatherings, my favorite is the Friday All School Meeting. Typically 15 minutes long, the meetings are a wonderful way to end each week on a positive note as students, faculty and parents gather to watch student presentations, sing and acknowledge birthdays! Parents enjoy seeing their children perform in front of a large audience and at these meetings children learn to see themselves not just as individuals, but as part of a whole.
I invite you to attend tomorrow’s All School Meeting! You are also invited to the first parent association meeting which will take place after the All School Meeting. As ASM parents, you are members of Parent Association for Community Effort (PACE). PACE coordinates several fun-filled events throughout the course of the year. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
