Inquiry-based Learning

Posted by Joanna on February 28, 2019

March is Science Fair time! The Science Fair is an integral component of our curriculum for elementary and middle school students and optional for first years. Science Fair promotes inquiry-based learning through the use of hands-on projects which are natural to our Montessori environment.

Next Thursday, students will be setting up their projects with great anticipation! Students began preparing many weeks ago and are looking forward to sharing the results of their hard work. During the day, our Kindergarten and Children House students will enjoy viewing the older students’ projects and have the opportunity to ask questions and get excited about science!

Please join me and our budding scientists at the Science Fair on March 7 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Middle School and Upper Elementary will have displays in the Middle School and American Room. Lower Elementary projects will be located throughout the hallways. Our students are eager to share their interests in areas such as biology, physics, psychology and engineering!
