End-of-Year Presentations and Ceremonies
Posted by Joanna on June 7, 2018
The school year is at its crescendo! Our community is brimming with eagerness and excitement as we prepare for the many end-of-year celebrations! Field trips, finishing touches to projects, speech writing, singing and social gatherings are all part of the fun. Although there are many events on our calendar, I’d like to point out some highlights for our students.
I invite you to view student work at Portfolio Presentations on Thursday, June 14. Students in kindergarten through middle school are looking forward to sharing progress they have made over the course of the year. Portfolios will be on display throughout the building and I encourage you to visit students across all program levels.
Middle School Graduation
We are honored to present the Class of 2018, graduating on June 14 at 6:00 p.m. Our eighth year students anticipate this bittersweet milestone with both happiness and a bit of nervousness! I know that our soon-to-be high-schoolers are ready to spread their wings! Along with our community, I am looking forward to congratulating each of them for their accomplishments.
Moving Up Ceremonies
Moving Up Ceremonies for kindergarteners, third years and sixth years will take place on Friday June 15 at 10:30, 1:00 and 2:30 respectively. A Montessori right-of-passage, moving up gives us the opportunity to recognize our students’ personal and academic achievements as they complete one three-year cycle and move to the next. It is remarkable that three years have passed so quickly, although not surprising when we’ve witnessed the how much our students have grown socially, academically and physically!
